TC21 is a high-strength and damage-tolerance alpha-beta titanium alloy. Its nominal composition is Ti-6Al-2Sn-2Zr-3Mo-1Cr-2Nb with silicon as a minor alloying element. It is designed for applications requiring a combination of strength, fracture toughness and damage tolerance.
TC17 is a high-strength alpha-beta titanium alloy with nominal composition Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Mo-4Cr. Its microstructure and heat-treatment response allow it to achieve a high strength level while maintaining useful ductility, making it suitable for demanding aerospace structural and engine applications.
